Wendy McCauley

Wendy McCauley Rifkin creates original paintings and commissioned works based on the female nude, either in a loose gestural style, or in a traditional realism/Old Masters style. The artist has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Rhode Island School of Design. She also studied at the Art Students League in New York and Parsons School of Design. Wendy resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.

The artist previously designed a jewelry and belt collection, MCC Jewelry and Accessories Collection and MCC Tees. She was the owner and designer of an apparel company, Wendy McCauley, Inc., which was represented in stores across the country, overseas, and seen in Elle, Glamour, Mademoiselle, Women’s Wear Daily, The New York Times, Los Angeles Magazine, US Magazine, Seventeen, YM, Phillip Bloch’s Element of Style, and other publications.

She then became a full-time mom and returned to her interest in drawing and painting, focusing on the miraculous female form. Her work has come full circle recently when her portrait painting of Paulina Porizkova appeared in Vogue Czechoslovakia in May 2021 – the first time any of her work was printed in Vogue.
